( TOO-DEE ramblings underneath. Watch out for spoilers. )

God, yesterday was shit, and that's all I'm going to say about it. I know I said I'd use this as a place to vent, but somehow I think that ranting about yesterday wouldn't make me feel any better. It'd just remind me of all the bad stuff that happened. So, instead, have a video from the Setsubun ceremony at Tsubaki Shrine that we attended on Sunday:

The shrine recently reconstructed its smaller shrine to the river and forest on the grounds (it got destroyed by a winter storm a few years ago) and I wanted to see it since it was a part of the grounds I'd never seen before. We had to troop back in the woods a little ways and cross a very narrow bridge over one of the streams flowing into the river, and then up some steps into the hill. The shrine is so cute and tiny! I left some coins and salt there.

Hmm, not much else to say at the moment. Think I'm gonna go write or edit.

Today:
- PREPARE THOSE DAMN CHICKEN THIGHS WHEN YOU GET HOME! (I dun care how tired you are. JUST DO IT. Use your awesome new boning knife!

Tomorrow (day off):
- Clean out one of the litter boxes completely (time to start the rotation)
- Contact the shrine about wedding ceremony stuffs (I know, exciting right? XD)
- DO SOME LAUNDRY
- ... FFFF I can't remember the other stuff? I dunno, wander a bit? OH YEAH. Go check out the artesian well on 164th.

Wandered up and down the BEHWY today for a little while. Stopped at a little shopping center there called Country Village. There were already crocus blooming in the landscaping O.o Looked at pretty beads in a bead shop, then drove further north to hit Central Market for some things.

Then I got to pick up chiba_yuriko from work and we went on a mini-date and sat and had tea at a place near her university for a while. Soooo nice. <3

(Man, going to teashops makes me wish I could start my own so badly! I would be SO GOOD AT IT I CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU!)

And then I had a feast for dinner, because we stopped by the Alderwood Pho restaurant we love (because seleraleonhart is sick and wanted chicken LOL) and I got short ribs and pork and shrimp piled on rice. YUM!

So yes, successful wandering day. Very relaxing.

Hey guys, I'm back. Yes, I really mean it this time, I don't care whether you believe me or not. Is anyone even reading this still? Dun care, gonna post here all I want again.

I quit posting for so long again because things have just been ... not good for me recently and it makes me sad to have to dump things like that on everyone ... but maybe I've realized I should? Not having a vent has been making me vent on everyone else and frankly that's not ... productive. And I know it.

It was getting to the point where I kept having these paranoid freak-outs and I was considering looking into getting a counselor ... the idea of which terrified me because I don't feel like I would be at all comfortable going to one. But I think I've figured out that not having a vent + too much caffeine are what were causing them.

(On the caffeine note, I drink tea when I'm stressed. I've been so stressed recently I was drinking up to three cups a day, most of it black and sometimes with buds mixed in. I've since cut back to one or two a day, with decaf ones mixed in, and I think I'm doing a lot better already.)

Also, I figured out that I need more time out of the house. So, I've been trying to use at least one of my days off a week to just go out and be somewhere alone (like the week before last, I went to downtown Edmonds and went to the beach and found a tea store and stuff). This also appears to have benefited me.

Also, I think I need to read more. Which reminds me, damnit, I think I left my book at work yesterday. :/ Oh well, today's a day off, so I wouldn't be reading anyway.

I'm doing my best to try and regain my mental health, because if I don't, I'll never be able to write again. I just know it ...

Anyway, I'm going to ship December and January off into the dark night and not really do a recap. It's all kind of a haze of random crap anyway at this point. Stress makes my mind foggy. I DID get an adorable haircut however. It's like the cutest one I've ever had! My hair's all flippy and wavy and curly. XD AND I helped chiba_yuriko with her senior project by acting as an editor! <3 For some stupid reason, that made me really happy. She wants to read Kite too, so I gotta hurry up and get some chapters formatted and sent to her.

And there's a kitty in my lap, purring away! Whee!

Oh ... yeah, we bought a treadmill too, but ffffff so not talking about that motherf-er right now. >/ Maybe later.

On the fandom front:

Oh my god, I'm so completely excited. This year's Fall Thanksgiving Ceremony at the shrine is going to be extra-special because they're dedicating the new torii gate at the entrance at the same time. THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME THING! They expect the new gate to last hundreds of years. SO TOTALLY JAZZED.

Last night, my Pacifica kitty pinned down my entire arm. She straddled it, right feet on one side, left feet on the other, and laid down on it with the entire length of her body. She's never done something like that before. O.o I remember thinking in my half-asleep state how awkward it was.

chiba_yuriko's birthday is tomorrow. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

BUT! The first time I really became an obsessive fan of a series (around the time I was 13) was ... wait for it ...:
